PhotosPlus subscriptions will end on September 12, and amazon will end support for the photos feature on September 23. Instead, affected customers will have to upload their photos to amazon Photos with 25GB of storage and learn to live with ads on their home screen.
The feature, which costs $2 a month, allows users to upload their own photos to display on the home screen, turning the voice-controlled, touchscreen device into a digital photo frame. The screen rotates the owners' photos every 30 seconds, a feature that can remain active indefinitely (or as long as its rechargeable battery lasts).
