This week, we look at a mess of corporate ai drama. Stability ai has announced that its founder and CEO, Emad Mostaque, will be leaving the company. Meanwhile, Microsoft hired two of Inflection's co-founders and much of its staff, without actually acquiring the company. Both moves surprised tech insiders. We then spoke to listeners who had something to say about our interview with Jonathan Haidt about smartphones, social media and young people. And finally, we examine the real motives behind “Shrimp Jesus” and other popular images on social media that were generated with artificial intelligence.
