If you're like me and are already at an age where going back to college isn't an option or you're ready to make a career transition but need guidance, you've come to the right page. I was working full time and had no choice but to take a course that was flexible because I had to keep a roof over my head. The university was completely out of the picture. I needed a course that would allow me to gain skills and knowledge without having to compromise my finances or too much time.
I ran into him Google Data Analytics Certification after seeing excellent reviews.
Work was a little slow, so I decided to give it a try while I wasn't exhausted due to overload at work.
What is Google Data Analytics Certification?

Google's Data Analytics professional certification allows you to understand the practices and processes used by associate data analysts.
In this certification, you will learn key analytical skills such as data cleansing, analysis, and visualization, as well as tools such as SQL, R programming, and Tableau. Through these skills, you will be able to understand how to clean and organize data for analysis, and complete analyzes and calculations using spreadsheets, SQL, and R programming.
By the end of the course, you will learn how to visualize and present data results in commonly used dashboards, presentations, and visualization platforms.
The course is aimed at beginners and can be completed in 6 months if you dedicate 10 hours a week. It's a flexible schedule, so you can learn at your own pace!
My opinions on certification
Before taking the certification, I had already taken a BootCamp 2 years before. When I entered the tech industry and got my first job as a junior data scientist, I realized that there were elements of data science that the bootcamp didn't teach me. I went around and around in circles trying to figure it out before I realized that I had to go back and really study before continuing my journey in data science.
So that's what I did. I decided to get Google's data analytics certification and aimed to complete it in 2 months.
So the journey begins and the first thing I would like to say. The content: incredible! The process: hassle-free! The route: impeccable.
If you were like me and felt like you needed a touch-up in your data analysis or data science learning or if you're new to the world of data and need some guidance, this course did exactly that.
Yes, there is a lot of learning material, but all the material was essential for the learning journey and helped me understand it. After each section, multiple choice questions helped me understand each section instead of just a bunch of questions at the end of each module.
When it came time to take the module and end-of-section multiple choice tests, I was doing great. Yes, my previous knowledge from boot camp helped me here and there, but after a few years out of the data science game, the content was a godsend in helping me get this certification.
So good that I recommended it to some family and friends who don't have a technical background and they came back with great feedback saying the structure and process was beginner-friendly.
My overall opinion and feedback on the certification is that I would highly recommend it to those who are new to the tech industry due to the structure of the course, but also to those who want to tweak their existing knowledge to ensure they really have it!
Remember, this certification is aimed at beginners, which means your data science learning journey should not end here. Continually learning new skills and tools will help you become a successful data scientist!
Ending
Each person's learning process is different. Some may have obtained certification and preferred another way of learning. However, if you are someone who needs guidance and likes to take baby steps, this certification is highly recommended!
