As someone who has a full-time job during the day and works on multiple side hustles at night (ranging from creating written content, online coursesand more recently, a technology Youtube channel), I’m always looking for new ways to generate passive income.
So when ChatGPT was launched, I was the first to search the internet for tips on how to use the tool to make more money.
Unsurprisingly, many of the recommendations I found online ranged from vague and unenforceable to downright unethical.
Thousands of people have apparently begun flooding the Amazon withtechnology/chatgpt-launches-boom-ai-written-e-books-amazon-2023-02-21/” rel=”noopener” target=”_blank”> ai generated booksprompting the platform to impose restrictions on self-publishing and remove suspicious ai-generated content en masse.
However, after sifting through the sea of bad advice on the internet, I found some pretty useful ways people have monetized ChatGPT and generative ai tools.
I even started incorporating some of these tips into my own workflows (and managed to nearly double my online income last month).
In this article, I will share my learnings and give you 3 realistic ways you can start making money with ChatGPT.
The creative economy is exploding.
There is a tremendous opportunity to make money by building a personal brand and generating content that others find valuable.
However, a lot of time (and money) goes into creating content.
A single YouTube video requires coming up with an idea about the topic, writing a script, spending hours talking in front of a camera, and editing it in post-production.
It also takes a lot of trial and error to find the ideal background, lighting, and audio for your video. And for many of us, it can feel daunting and unnatural to sit and talk in front of a camera.
Generative ai is a game-changer in the content creation space. You can use ChatGPT to perform research topicgenerate a compelling “hook” for your YouTube video and even optimize your content so it ranks well on Google.
So, you can use a tool like synthesis to create an ai avatar and voiceover for your videos, eliminating the need for you to appear in them yourself:

Of course, you want to differentiate yourself from the ai-generated content flooding the internet, which means doing a lot of research into your videos and selecting a niche.
ChatGPT and generative ai should speed up the content creation process and are not intended to replace your creativity and unique voice.
Online courses on generative ai tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, and DALLE are gaining popularity.

This should tell you that people and organizations are willing to invest heavily in learning more about ai.
Of course, this doesn’t mean that just anyone can create an introductory ChatGPT course with regurgitated content.
What you should do is this:
Find a niche
If you work in marketing, for example, you already have experience in the field that differentiates you from the average person.
Now, start learning how to incorporate ChatGPT into your daily workflows. Are there any aspects of your job that generative ai can automate?

With this knowledge, can you teach small business owners how to market their products effectively without having to hire a content creator or SEO expert?
This is a skill that many people will pay to learn, because it teaches them how to save money and improve business results in the long term.

And in today’s creative economy, it’s never been easier to get started!
All you need to do is sign up on a platform like Udemy either Educable and start building the course.
If you’ve been following announcements in the field of ai lately, you may have heard about the trendy new job on the market called “speed engineer.”
Accordingai-prompt-engineer-jobs-pay-salary-requirements-no-tech-background-2023-3″ rel=”noopener” target=”_blank”> Business InsiderThese positions pay up to $375,000 a year and don’t even require a technology degree.
So…does this mean that anyone can earn this amount of money just by writing messages on ChatGPT? What’s the trick?
Although it is a relatively new field that will continue to evolve in the coming years, the primary role of a rapid engineer is Improve business results and maximize efficiency with generative ai..
Most fast-track engineering positions require subject matter experience. Must be able to apply cueing techniques to solve industry-specific problems.
For example, if you work in marketing, you may be hired to have ChatGPT create SEO-friendly content that is business-relevant and accurate.

The job offer states that they will consider applicants who are able to present a strong enough case for themselves, saying:

And while many of these requirements seem extremely vague, it appears that rapid engineering is a lucrative skill that people in a variety of fields will benefit from.
Even if you don’t end up landing a job as an engineer quickly, this is a skill that companies will pay to learn, as employees are still struggling with ai adoption.
You can offer consulting services on generative ai and rapid engineering in a specific niche like marketing or finance.
