The Galaxy SmartTag 2 is our pick for people with Samsung phones. While Samsung may not have as many smartphones as Apple (the Find My network uses all nearby iPhones to track AirTags), it has enough devices available to make its own find network pretty robust. Unfortunately, the Galaxy SmartTag 2 does not yet work with , which would allow any compatible Android device to help search for a lost tag.
That quibble aside, we quite like the SmartTag 2. Setup is very simple, for one thing. In our tests we were able to quickly find items tagged with one, while abandonment alerts worked well when a Samsung phone detected that we were moving away from a SmartTag 2. The design is useful, as it's easy to attach the tracker to a set of keys . It also has a louder ring than an AirTag or Tile Pro.
The battery will last about 16 months, according to Samsung, and is replaceable. The SmartTag 2 is also rated IP67 for water and dust resistance. While the SmartTag 2 may not be as accurate as an AirTag at finding a lost or stolen item, it's still a solid Bluetooth tracking option for Samsung users.
