In Liu’s book, three bodies is an immersive virtual reality game that transports players to realistic recreations of different moments from the distant past. Neither Jack Rooney (John Bradley) nor Jin Cheng (Jess Hong) seem to know much about the strange metallic headphones they own in 3 Body problemThe new clip beyond the fact that it looks nothing like any other gaming gear on the market.
But when Jack slides the thing over his head, he witnesses firsthand what the experience feels like, like he’s been physically transported to an impossible place that shouldn’t seem so real. It’s all so fascinating that Jack barely has time to understand what’s going on when an unknown woman (Sea Shimooka) appears and kicks him out, slashing him with a sword. And while the trailer doesn’t offer much more than that, readers of Liu’s novels should have a solid idea of what’s going on.
The strange addiction that comes with playing three bodies is just one aspect of the larger puzzle being put together in Liu’s books, and it seems that Netflix 3 Body problem you might be prepared to complete that part of your adaptation. It is a good sign that when 3 Body problem hits Netflix on March 21, it will be something worth delving into.
