Very few passengers choose a cruise based on a drink package.
Many cruises have a favorite line and stay with that. But, there are some cruises that seek the best value. They can take into account the ships they are reserving, the quality of the ports visited and how much they will really spend.

That has helped MSC Cruises, for example, to win some business at theory at the expense of Royal Caribbean and Carnival. MSC Cruises often has a lower price in general when it takes into account that it offers packages, which include a drinking and wifi package.
Both Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Line sell everything to the letter. Carnival has a fixed price for its package of drinks of cheers, $ 82.54 per person/per day (which includes a tip of 18%), with alcoholic beverages limited to 15 per day.
Royal Caribbean has no limit on how many alcoholic beverages can someone consume when buying their luxury drink package (DBP). It also has another important advantage over its rival (an advantage that MSC Cruises also offers).

I am here in Labadee, Haiti with Dennis Post, our travel agent partner. We want to talk about something. We are both generally fans of the Royal Caribbean Deluxe drink package.
We do not always understand it. We are cousins in the casino. We have some free drinks that are Diamond, Diamond Plus, that kind of thing.
But there is something really great in the Royal Caribbean Drink package that is not the case if it is in Carnival. Dennis, do you want to share with people what that is?
Dennis post: Yes, the important thing is that when you go to your private island, whether it is a perfect day in Cococay or you come here to Labadee, Haiti, the beverage package is included, so you do not have to get money. Everything is included. Everything is in your package, all the food, all entertainment, unless you do some special things.
Kline: And that is true with MSC. When you go to your private beach, I love Ocean Cay as much as it's just a beach, it's really beautiful.
But if he is on a carnival ship and stops in his private islands, of which they have a new one, celebration Key, soon, he cannot use his drink package. On the other hand, whatever drinks does not count for your daily beverage limit.
