Luxor opens adult playground on the Strip
A new attraction comes to the Strip as Play Social Inc. on January 18 opened its highly anticipated Play Playground, a 15,000-square-foot immersive play area featuring a variety of large-scale interactive games that emphasize tactile skills, memory, puzzles and teamwork, at MGM Resorts International (MGM) – Get a free report Luxor Hotel and Casino. The place is different from Dave & Buster's or Chuck E. Cheese in that it does not have arcade, virtual reality or augmented reality games. Play Playground is open to all ages during the day and adults only at night. The playground's operator, Play Social, markets it as ideal for both families visiting children and companies looking to organize a unique outing, the company said in a statement.
The site is open from noon to midnight, Sunday to Thursday, and from noon to 2 am, Friday and Saturday. Visitors under 21 must leave Play Playground at 5 pm daily, but those over 21 can continue having fun on site until closing. Admission for guests under 21 is $34.50 and $39.50 for guests over 21, which includes a $2.50 service charge, according to the Playground website.
