Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks closed higher on Wednesday; the gains of the sectors, and drove the indices higher.
At the end of the session in Saudi Arabia, the interest rate rose 0.31%.
The best performers of the session were Eastern Province Cement Co. (TADAWUL:), rising 10.00% or 3.40 points to close at 37.40. Meanwhile, Abdullah Al Othaim Markets Company (TADAWUL:), which gained 8.51%, or 0.98 points, to close at 12.50, and Integrated Eastern Pipes Company for Industry (TADAWUL:), which rose 6.00%, or 9.40 points, to end the session at 166.00.
At the bottom of the index was Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:), which fell 9.38%, or 0.03 points, to close at 0.29. Alamar Foods CJSC (TADAWUL:) fell 2.55%, or 2.10 points, to close at 80.10, and Almarai Company (TADAWUL:), which fell 2.55%, or 1.50 points, to close at 57.30 .
Advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Stock Exchange by 173 to 120 and 20 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.58% or 0.41 to $70.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities, Brent oil futures for December delivery rose 0.48% or 0.36 to settle at $74.61 a barrel, while Gold futures for December delivery rose 0.48% or 0.36. 71%, 18.90, to $2,697.80 per troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.06% at 4.09, while USD/SAR was unchanged 0.02% at 3.75.
US dollar index futures rose 0.08% to 103.14.
