In 2022, Royal Caribbean bought a section of coast in a small coastal city near a popular tourist destination with plans to build a cruise port that can accommodate one of its Oasis class giant cruises.
Royal Caribbean already uses an important cruise port near, but it is one of the most active in the world. A new regional port would allow the cruise line to expand its capacity in one of the most wanted destinations in the world.

However, for local residents, the possibility that a large cruise port takes care of its quiet city and its coastal environment is alarming. Local groups have been fighting the development plans proposed for the area since 2010, but it seems that the Royal Caribbean project is now on their way to advance beyond those who came before.

New Royal Caribbean Cruise Port that will be built near Rome
Only 20 miles from Rome, the small town of Isola Sacra in fiquecin will become the home of a new cruise port called Waterfront fique. Royal Caribbean is associating with the icon infrastructure of the British Investment Fund in the project.
