For some cruise passengers, the landing day can be a stressful ending for the cruise experience. Wrapping a relaxing vacation in the sea often implies waiting to leave the ship just to run to the airport to take its flight home.
The more passengers the cruise has, the more time can it lead to. In addition, the ship must be cleared by customs officials before someone can start down.

That is why it is always recommended to cushion a few hours between its cruise landing time and the departure time of its return flight. Smart cruises choose the flight times back in the afternoon to make sure that possible delays in landing do not make them lose their flight.
Once you have left the ship, you will also need time to collect your luggage, travel to the airport and overcome airport safety. All these steps will feel less agitated if you are not worried about losing your flight.
To help the process rather from cruise ships to airport, some cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean offer flight arrangements and airport transfer services that passengers can buy in conjunction with their cruise reserve.
Royal Caribbean also has an additional service that can make the transition from the cruise port to the airport even more problems, but has not been widely available in recent years.
However, for lucky passengers reserved in selected navigations, that is changing.

Royal Caribbean is expanding its air luggage transfer service
Luggage Valet, a Royal Caribbean service once offered for Florida cruises, is returning with selected navigations, according to Royalcaribbeanblog.comAn unofficial fans blog that is not affiliated with the cruise line.
Basically, the program allows passengers to omit the traditional check-in lines of the airport and verify their luggage for their flight while they are still aboard their cruise. Participating passengers will receive their shipping passes, luggage labels and luggage claim tickets in their cabins.

Passengers who take advantage of the luggage valet do not need to load their bags on the day of landing. After establishing their bags labeled outside their cabin the night before the landing, they will only have to collect their luggage when they reach their final destination. Royal Caribbean will transport the luggage of the passengers directly to the airport, where he will then be sent to his flight.
Luggage Valet is available for an aggregate rate to the airline luggage rates. It is only available on ports and airlines selected at exits from seven nights or more. Flights should leave the same day as the arrival of the ship.

For a while, the service was only available for Alaska Cruise passengers that sailed from the port of Seattle that fly with selected airlines. Recently, passengers navigating from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale have reported that the luggage valet is offered again for select cruises of seven nights or more.

To participate, passengers must complete an registration form and return it to the guest service table no later than the third day of their cruise. The current cost for Royal Caribbean's luggage valet is $ 29 per passenger. The participating passengers will have the luggage valet rate plus the luggage rates of the applicable airline charged to their account on board.
Although the service adds an additional rate to your cruise, some passengers say it is worth the cost to avoid dealing with your luggage on landing day.
