PROS Participations (New York Stock Exchange:PRO) jumped 8.7% following a report that the revenue management software provider is exploring options, including a possible sale.
Pros (PRO), which has a market capitalization of approximately $1.5 billion, is being advised by Qatalyst Partners in its discussions with potential buyers, according to a Reuters report on Wednesday, which cited people familiar with the matter.
Pros (PRO) has rejected several offers from private equity firms, which have been top bidders for the company, which serves airlines and other industries, Reuters said. PE firms have so far been unable to come up with an attractive offer due to the company’s losses.
The talks are likely to end without any agreement, Reuters added.
Pros (PRO) short interest is 9.7%.
