Investing.com – The Portuguese stock market closed higher this Monday; the gains of the sectors, and drove the indices higher.
At the close of Lisbon, the rose 0.14%.
The best value of the session was Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:), with an increase of 2.36%, 0.01 points, to close at 0.46. Meanwhile, EDP Renovations (ELI:) added 0.71% or 0.07 points to end at 9.88 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:) rose 0.62%, 0.05 points, to say goodbye to 8.14 at the end of the session.
The worst results of the session were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:), which fell 1.35%, or 0.04 points, to close at 2.78. Galp Energy Nom (ELI:) fell 1.32%, 0.23 points, to close at 16.77, and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:), which fell 1.28%, 0.24 points, until saying goodbye at 18.52.
Falling stocks outnumbered rising ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 14 to 7 and 7 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery fell 0.99% or 0.74 to $73.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities, Crude oil futures for delivery in January fell 1.61% or 1.15 to hit $70.14 a barrel, while Gold futures for delivery in February fell 0. .21%, 5.56, to $2,670.24 per troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% at 1.05, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.47% at 0.83.
US dollar index futures were down 0.14% at 106.53.
