Las Vegas introduces a new immersive ‘Fantasy’ entertainment experience.
Las Vegas has a reputation for being a place where everyone is allowed, and even encouraged, to stop following rules and budgets and live in the moment. The city’s entertainment life and tourism has been on the shoulders of the two main owners of the Vegas Strip, Caesars Entertainments. Caesars Entertainment is home to a multitude of entertainment beyond its many resorts and casinos. It was recently announced that the magical performances of Garth Brooks, Adele and Criss Angel on Planet Hollywood would be presented at the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace. The entertainment isn’t cheap either, with tickets to see the legendary magician ranging from $79 to $159. However, tickets to see Garth go up to $2,500.
MGM Resorts also offers a fair amount of entertainment and attractions for tourists. MGM presents multiple shows of Cirque du Soleil’s world-renowned acrobatic performances at the New York-New York Hotel and Casino, Bellagio Hotel and Casino, Mandalay Bay and the MGM Grand. The MGM Grand complex is also home to another well-known magician, David Copperfield.
Approximately 38 million people visited Las Vegas in 2022, still short of the pre-pandemic figure of 42 million in 2019, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. Traveling to Las Vegas for a convention, work, or play, there are always plenty of ways to enjoy some epic entertainment and dining.

Vegas enjoy new entertainment
The entertainment that debuted in Mexico City has come to Las Vegas. The Fantasy Lab is an immersive art experience of the Time to Dream Journey with multiple different experiences. Guests will experience the rooms of: Enlightenment, Kaleidoscope, Insomnia, Stars, Circus, Labyrinth and Nightmare. The Fantasy Lab is a way for guests to experience a multitude of thoughts, emotions, and dreams. It includes the use of LEDs and audio technology to create a space filled with emotions such as love, hope, fear, heartbreak, beauty, nostalgia and madness, according to the fantasy laboratory website.
The Fantasy Lab, located inside the Fashion Mall Show, also serves food and drinks. Tickets to take the journey through the Fantasy Lab experiences are $42 for general admission. Guests under the age of 8 are not allowed, and guests under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21. Since Las Vegas is generally not geared towards young children, the age restriction isn’t expected to be much of a fuss. While there is a price to enter the Time to Dream Journey experiences, admission is not needed to enter the Fantasy Lab kitchen and bar.
The Time to Dream Journey experience began with Ricardo L. Franco and Ricky Franco, a combined father and son team, who set out to create Fantasy Lab by using technology to create a unique and uplifting experience. The original Fantasy Lab opened in Mexico City in 2020.
Vegas offers new fantasy dreams in real life
Each of the experiences generates different emotions and allows guests to relax in one experience and be entertained or scared in the next. The full time spent traveling through Fantasy Lab’s Time to Dream ride is one hour and 10 minutes. Guests must experience each room for 10 minutes each.
Some guests may think that the travel room experiences are like a walk through “Alice in Wonderland,” according to Las Vegas Weekly and others might think it takes them to a world like “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” Whichever movie sparks your imagination is the right one, as there is no right or wrong way to enjoy the immersive experience.
The Fantasy Lab also offers private events and even an annual membership for those who live in or frequent Las Vegas, for just $59. Membership includes the Las Vegas and Mexico City locations, and members will enjoy a 10% discount on bar and merchandise. When a member attends Fantasy Labs they can receive a 50% discount for one guest, however it is limited to only one per day.
