Black Friday 2023 is almost here, but like many other retailers and brands (including Amazon), Lego is wasting no time offering promotions in advance. We are already tracking discounts from the brands’ online store and from Amazon, including the coveted themed advent calendar sets.
Of course, it’s worth being a member whether you buy from Amazon or directly from Lego. At Amazon, it’s a Prime membership to get exclusive discounts and fast, free shipping on countless products. You can become a Prime member for $15 a month or $139 a year, but you can sign up for a free 30-day trial before you decide.
With Lego, it’s free to become an Insider, the new name for the old VIP program, where you earn points with every purchase, get early access to games, and can take advantage of competitive gifts with purchase. It’s free to sign up and we’re heading into a double points weekend.
By purchasing from Lego directly as an Insider, you’ll earn double points on all games, while on select games you’ll earn four times as many points. This means that if you get a more expensive game, you can earn points close to the price.
You’ll also be eligible for several gifts with purchase as an Insider when you spend a certain amount. They are the following:
- Spend $40 or more and get a free Lego Christmas Winter Train Set.
- Spend $170 or more on any set and get a free Lego Winter Market booth set.
- Spend $250 or more on any set and get a free Lego Majisto Magic Workshop. This was originally released as a set in 1992!
- Spend $65 or more on Lego City, Friends, Harry Potter, Duplo, Ninjago or DreamZzz sets to get a free Christmas cookie cup and stamp set.
Reminder: To be eligible for them, you’ll need to make a purchase at Lego using your Insiders account. Starting Black Friday—November. On January 24, you can pre-order the Lego Marvel Avengers Tower ($600 at Lego), a set with 31 minifigures and 5,201 pieces, plus get a free Marvel Taxi.
So whether you buy directly from Lego or at Official Lego store on Amazon, you’re sure to get a great deal and potentially a freebie along the way. You can see all the Lego deals here and all the discounted sets on Amazon here, and we’ll share our favorite discounted Lego sets below.
