When visitors to the Las Vegas Strip imagine headlining residencies, they often consider purchasing tickets to shows by superstar singers and bands, such as Adele, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars, or perhaps older, classic Vegas acts like Barry Manilow, Donny Osmond or Wayne Newton.
The latest sensation on the Strip, Sphere Entertainment's (SPHR) Sphere has been drawing huge crowds since superstar rock band U2 opened the venue on September 29, 2023, and performed 40 nearly sold-out shows before closing their residency on March 2.

The next concert at Sphere will be legendary rock band The Eagles, who have 20 shows scheduled from September 20, 2024, to January 25, 2025, and are sure to sell out.
For country music fans, several star singers have residencies scheduled on the strip. Carrie Underwood will perform her “Reflection” residency for 15 more shows, spread across August, October, March and April.
Other country stars with current or future residencies scheduled include Garth Brooks at Caesars Entertainment. (CZR) Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Shania Twain at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood, Keith Urban at Fontainebleau or Brad Paisley at Wynn Resorts. (WYNN) Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas.

Burlesque star returns to Las Vegas Strip for residency
Following her performance in “A Jubilant Revue” at Horseshoe last fall, international burlesque queen Dita Von Teese returns to the Strip with her glamorous and sensational performances at Voltaire at the Venetian Resort Las Vegas. The residency is scheduled for 44 shows over 11 weekends beginning September 19 and ending December 22, 2024.
“Dita Von Teese dazzles audiences around the world and brings something iconic and special to Voltaire,” Voltaire founder Michael Gruber said in an Aug. 13 statement. “Upon entering Voltaire, guests are transported to another era through the venue’s art deco design and cabaret-like setting, making it the perfect home for Dita, her sparkling costumes and effervescent charm.”
Tickets for the new revue can be purchased at voltairelv.com.
Dita Von Teese, born Heather Renee Sweet in Rochester, Minnesota, changed her name in 1992 and began performing her own style of striptease.
The burlesque star, who as a teenager was a fan of burlesque icon Gypsy Rose Lee, appeared twice on Vanity Fair's International Best Dressed List and was named a Burlesque Superheroine by the magazine.
Dita Von Teese has walked shows for Louis Vuitton, Chopard, Cartier and at the Cannes Film Festival. She was also one of the main guest stars at Jean Paul Gaultier's “Fashion Freak Show” at the Folies Bergère in Paris in 2019.
The star performer has presented four full-length burlesque revue tours: “Strip, Strip, Hooray!” in 2013-2016, “The Art of the Teese” in 2017, “Dita Von Teese and the Copper Coupe” in 2018, and “Glamonatrix” in 2019 and 2022-2023.
