In the 1980s and 1990s, casinos began opening comedy clubs, such as The Improv, which opened at the Riviera in the 1980s and moved to Harrah's in the 1990s, and Catch a Rising Star, which opened at Bally's in the 1980s and moved to the MGM Grand in the 1990s.
Today, a number of comedians have regular residencies on the Strip. Legendary comedian Carrot Top has headlined the MGM Resorts International (MGM) Luxor since 2005 and will continue her residency until 2028, after extending her contract for five years at the end of 2023.

Pre-sales for Caesars Rewards and Loyalty programs, Ticketmaster and Live Nation will go on sale September 5 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time at Ticketmaster.com. Tickets, which start at $84 plus fees and taxes, will go on sale to the general public on September 6 at 10 a.m.
Much to the delight of fans, inflation has not been an issue for Seinfeld shows, as the initial ticket price is the same as when tickets for the 2024 residency went on sale in July 2023 and when 2023 tickets went on sale in October 2022. A limited number of tickets are available for the remaining shows on September 6 and 7, 2024.
Seinfeld is the longest-tenured superstar on the Caesars Palace bill in the resort’s history. He previously completed a residency at the Colosseum in July 2023, but had not performed at the venue prior to that since 2019. The Covid pandemic likely had a lot to do with Seinfeld’s Vegas hiatus, as his April 3 and 4, 2020 shows at the Colosseum were canceled due to the pandemic.
Seinfeld has performed across the country and has recently worked on Netflix projects including “Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story,” “Jerry Before Seinfeld” and “23 Hours to Kill.”
