KFC fans are never sure if the latest menu changes are real or just a trick to make people think, “Wow, I better try that,” before it’s no longer on the menu.
One supposedly ‘gimmick’ item that recently returned to the menu for a limited time was the Double Down sandwich, which returned from KFC’s menu in 2014. The sandwich made a viral debut and perhaps KFC was hoping that the controversial sandwich would return. create a stir among your customers.
The Double Down is a chicken ‘sandwich’, if you can call it that. The ‘sandwich’ uses two slices of KFC’s delicious fried chicken as the sandwich buns with bacon and cheese between the two chicken tenders.
KFC also announced that it would be removing a couple of fan favorites from its regular menu. Again, could this be a gimmick to provoke outrage from customers who want to come in and have a last taste of the menu items that are being removed? Or are you just making room for other menu items to return to the menu?

KFC makes further menu tweaks
KFC, however, is bringing back the fan-favorite $5 Mac and Cheese bowl, according to chew boom. The return of the cheesy bowl is scheduled to begin on April 3. The buzz at the moment is that the hot sauce is back in limited capacity, leading one to believe that it’s possibly just another of KFC’s tricks to rile up its customers and get into the fast food order line. .
KFC might not be done yet
KFC has continued to make questionable changes to its menu, with the fast-food restaurant chain saying the main reason for the changes was to streamline its ordering process to deliver orders to its customers. KFC launched its fan-favorite, kid-friendly chicken nuggets, which were the perfect size for KFC Famous Bowls.
“It’s really about delivering our most popular products perfectly every time and making room for new products,” said Brittany Wilson, KFC’s US director.
KFC has replaced its popular bite-sized chicken with a meatier white meat chicken nugget, but unless it’s being served sliced on top of the Famous Bowl or the Macaroni and Cheese Bowl, you’ll need a fork and knife to get it. ready to eat. While the return of Smokey Nashville hot sauce is said to be temporary, there’s currently no mention of when the macaroni and cheese bowls will be taken off the menu, just that it’s for a limited time.
