Crude oil for February delivery rose 2.68% or 1.97 to $75.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities, Brent oil futures for delivery in March rose 2.53% or 1.99 to hit $80.79 a barrel, while Gold futures for delivery in February fell 0. 05%, 1.05, to $2,068.05 per troy ounce.
USD/ILS rose 0.53% to 3.63, while EUR/ILS rose 0.72% to 4.00.
US dollar index futures were down 0.08% at 101.25.
