Investing.com – Israel stocks closed lower on Monday; the declines of the sectors, and drove the indices downward.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the fell 1.26%.
The best performers of the session were Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:), which rose 2.75%, 63.00 points, to close at 2,350.00. Meanwhile, Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:) added 2.70% or 2,000.00 points to end at 76,000.00 and Kenon Holdings Ltd. (TASE:) rose 1.94% or 150.00 points to 7,870.00 at the end of the session.
The worst results of the session were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:), which fell 4.90%, or 98.00 points, to close at 1,900.00. Leumi (TASE:) fell 3.72% or 105.00 points to close at 2,720.00 and Israeli Corporation (TASE:) fell 3.52% or 3,170.00 points to 86,790.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered rising ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 249 to 216 and 79 ended unchanged.
ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:) shares fell to 52-week lows; fell 4.90% or 98.00 to 1,900.00.
Crude oil for December delivery rose 1.48% or 1.19 to $81.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities, Brent oil futures for delivery in January rose 1.20% or 1.02 to hit $85.91 a barrel, while gold futures for delivery in December fell 0 .46%, 9.25, to $1,989.95 per troy ounce.
USD/ILS fell 0.47% to 3.89, while EUR/ILS fell 0.35% to 4.18.
US dollar index futures rose 0.02% to 104.88.
