Cruise passengers must be careful when it comes to communicating with anyone with respect to their cruise.
The scams have apparently become more common, and it is important to be attentive. That is a challenge because some people reserve cruises through third parties.

That could mean a travel agent or could be a service like Costco Travel. But, no matter where to reserve, you must ensure that the person who is communicating is legitimate.
When talking to your cruise line, be sure to start the call. People use parody numbers, false emails and even false websites to collect payments.
It is easy to go to any cruise line directly to verify the validity of any charge before delivering a credit card.
When it comes to a third, it is important to do your research. Before delivering any money, make sure that the person is really a travel agent or that any business really has the right to sell cruises.
These lessons are cold for almost 200 people who were trapped in a cruise scam. Cruise News Doug Parker today has the complete story in the February 12 of its popular YouTube program.

These are Cruise news today with Doug Parker.
Good day. Here are your Cruise news for Wednesday, February 12.
A British man has been sentenced to five years in prison for a fraudulent cruise that stole more than half a million dollars of 184 victims, yes.
Richard Lester, 56 years old from Luton, directed a Ponzi scheme through his company Cruise Direct UK LTD, also selling false cruise coupons, financing his luxurious lifestyle.
Now, some clients only discovered the scam when they arrived at the dock and were not in the ship's manifesto. A judge condemned Lester because Gasling victims made to think it was their fault.
In addition to jail, he has also forbidden to serve as director of the company for nine years.
Royal Caribbean Captain retires, Carnival adds a new rate
And a legendary career comes to an end. Captain Johnny Favilan retires after 50 years with Royal Caribbean.
Captain, if I'm killing your name, I apologize. It began in 1975 in the Norway song. His first task was to wash the covers.
Some of the best moments of his career include navigating the sailor of the seas around Cabo Horn, getting multiple oasis class boats and officiating his daughter's wedding as captain. Now that he turns 70, Captain Johnny says it is time to tie the boat and say goodbye.
Enjoy retirement, my friend.
And Carnival Cruise Line has begun to charge for what was previously a free transport service in the port of La Paz, Mexico. The guests who sailed the Carnival panorama were informed of the change after their cruise already sailed. The round trip ferriser now costs $ 10 for adults and eight for children, although private taxis remain available for around $ 40 in each direction.
Carnival has not explained the new rate, which some cruises say they should have previously revealed. Panorama is currently on a Mexican Riviera cruise of eight nights from Long Beach, California.
It should be noted that other cruise lines under the Carnival Corporation can also introduce similar positions.
(The Arena Group will win a commission if you reserve a cruise).
