Guests on the Las Vegas Strip often visit one of the many celebrity chef restaurants before attending a headline show or perhaps before trying their luck at the area's casinos.
The Strip has no shortage of restaurants with celebrity chefs to choose from. Whether it's a Gordon Ramsay, Bobby Flay, Guy Fieri, or perhaps Wolfgang Puck dining experience, visitors can usually find a seat at one of their restaurants.
Guests can choose Guy Fieri's Kitchen & Bar at Caesars Entertainment's (CZR) The Linq, Flavortown Sports Kitchen at Horseshoe or Chicken Guy at Caesars Palace.

Wolfgang Puck Vegas Strip restaurant is closed
One of the celebrity chef's restaurants just received some very bad news, as the Southern Nevada Health District closed the Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at the MGM Grand on January 2 for numerous health code violations.
A notice on the restaurant's website said: “Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill is temporarily closed. We will reopen for dinner on Monday, January 6 at 5 pm.”

The Southern Nevada Health District closed the restaurant on Jan. 2 after a routine inspection revealed “actual serious unsanitary conditions or conditions including pest infestation,” according to the health department's website. He also cited the restaurant's “effective pest control measures.”

Six other Wolfgang Puck operations related to the restaurant were also cited and closed, including its butcher shop/meathouse, prep kitchen, bar, server station, hotline and display kitchen.
The violations listed included issues related to “healthy food, not spoiled, contaminated or adulterated,” “chemicals properly identified, stored and used,” and “food protected from possible contamination by employees and consumers.”
The violations included cleaning and disinfection issues.
The health department also listed violations as “food contact equipment surfaces adequately cleaned and sanitized,” “sanitizing solution provided and maintained as needed,” “food thawed and cooled using appropriate methods,” and “fruits and vegetables washed before its preparation or service.”
The restaurant, butcher shop/meathouse, prep kitchen, hotline and display kitchen received 42 demerits from the inspection, although the bar and server station received no demerits.
Restaurant closures by the Southern Nevada Health District in Las Vegas are not common; another restaurant, Kono's Northshore, closed Jan. 3 with seven violations and 14 demerits.
The health department did not close any restaurants for violations in December. Only one establishment closed in November, GenerationZ Catering @ 4D, but a note on the department's website said no violations were found during the inspection.
Approximately 90% of restaurants inspected by the Southern Nevada Health District receive A grades.
