Investing.com – The Greek stock market closed higher this Friday; the gains of the sectors, and drove the indices higher.
At the close in Athens, the dollar rose 0.40%, reaching a new six-month high.
The best performers of the session were Ekter (AT:), which rose 5.12%, 0.09 points, to close at 1.89. Behind, Performance Technologies IT Solutions (AT:), which advanced 4.21%, 0.24 points, to close at 5.94, and Lamda development (AT:) rose 3.60%, 0.26 points, ending the session at 7.48.
At the bottom of the index was Elinoil Hellenic Petroleum Company SA (AT:), which fell 3.29%, or 0.08 points, to close at 2.35. Iktinos Greece (AT:) fell 1.80% or 0.01 points to close at 0.35 and Search Entries (AT:) fell 1.50%, 0.09 points, to 5.90.
Advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 71 to 46 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold futures for February delivery fell 0.40% or 10.59 to $2,658.41 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities, Crude oil futures for delivery in February rose 0.93% or 0.68 to hit $73.81 a barrel, while Brent oil futures for delivery in March rose 0. .59%, 0.45, to $76.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% at 1.03, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.02% at 0.83.
US dollar index futures were down 0.26% at 108.93.
