Investing.com – The French stock market closed higher this Friday; the gains of the sectors, and drove the indices higher.
At the close in Paris, the index rose 1.31%, hitting a new one-month high, while the index advanced 1.27%.
The best performers of the session were Dry SA (EPA:), which rose 5.96%, or 13.40 points, to close at 238.20. Meanwhile, LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:) advanced 3.48%, 21.20 points, to close at 630.40 and Hermes International SCA (EPA:) rose 3.25% or 71.00 points to 2,259.00 at the end of the session.
The worst results of the session were Such (EPA:), which fell 0.25%, that is, 0.35 points, to close at 141.80. danone SA (EPA:) fell 0.18% or 0.12 points to close at 64.86 and Accor SA (EPA:) fell 0.17%, 0.08 points, to 46.02.
The best with the SBF 120 were Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA which rose 13.07% to 13.32, Derichebourg (EPA 🙂 which rose 10.91% to settle at 4.90 and Europe SAS (EPA:), which gained 7.65% to close at 4.42.
At the bottom of the index was Atos SE (EPA:), which fell 98.54%, remaining at 0.00 at the end of the session, Viridien SA (EPA:), which lost 2.28%, leaving 42, 83, and Ipsen SA (EPA:), which fell 1.72% to 108.70 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 315 to 182 and 90 ended unchanged.
Atos SE (EPA:) shares fell to record lows; falling 98.54% or 0.18 to 0.00.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% at 18.96, a new 52-week high.
Gold futures for February delivery rose 0.36% or 9.64 to $2,658.04 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities, Crude oil futures for delivery in January fell 1.22% or 0.83 to hit $67.47 a barrel, while Brent oil futures for delivery in February fell 1.22% or 0.83, to hit $67.47 a barrel. 1.01%, 0.73, to $71.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% at 1.06, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.08% at 0.83.
US dollar index futures rose 0.31% to 106.03.
