Investing.com – The Finnish stock market closed lower on Thursday; the declines of the sectors, and drove the indices downward.
At the close in Helsinki, the dollar fell 0.56%.
The best value of the session was Neste Oyj (HE:), with a rise of 1.58%, or 0.26 points, to close at 16.76. Meanwhile, Qt Oyj Group (HE:) advanced 0.97%, 0.85 points, to close at 88.65, and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:), which rose 0.29%, 0.03 points, until ending the session in 10.43.
At the bottom of the index was Valmet Oyj (HE:), which fell 2.82%, that is, 0.79 points, to close at 27.24. Cargotec Oyj (HE:) fell 2.70%, or 1.41 points, to close at 50.86, and Konecranes ABP (HE:) fell 2.67%, or 1.80 points, to settle at 65.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered rising ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 98 to 71 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery rose 3.02% or 2.31 to $78.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities, Crude oil futures for delivery in November rose 2.98% or 2.18 to hit $75.42 a barrel, while Gold futures for delivery in December rose 0. 57%, 15.00, to $2,641.00 per troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% at 1.09, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.02% at 0.84.
US dollar index futures rose 0.03% to 102.72.
