Investing.com – The Finnish stock market closed lower on Friday; the declines of the sectors, and drove the indices downward.
At the close in Helsinki, the fell 0.49%.
The best value of the session was Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:), with an increase of 3.67%, 0.65 points, to close at 18.23. It was followed by Outokumpu Oyj (HE:), which rose 2.83%, 0.08 points, to close at 2.95, and Orion Oyj B (HE:), which rose 0.60%, 0.27 points , until ending the session at 45.21.
At the bottom of the index was Neste Oyj (HE:), which fell 3.27%, that is, 0.42 points, to close at 12.29. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:) fell 1.92%, that is, 0.08 points, to close at 4.20, and Kojamo (HE:) fell 1.43%, 0.13 points, to 8.93.
Falling stocks outnumbered rising ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 98 to 72 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery rose 2.99% or 2.30 to $79.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities, Crude oil futures for delivery in February rose 2.98% or 2.20 to hit $76.12 a barrel, while Gold futures for delivery in February rose 1. 14%, 30.70, to $2,721.50 per troy ounce.
EUR/USD fell 0.60% to 1.02, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.19% to 0.84.
US dollar index futures rose 0.51% to 109.56.
