Investing.com – The Finnish stock market closed lower on Friday; the declines of the sectors, and drove the indices downward.
At the close in Helsinki, the dollar fell 0.02%, hitting a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session were kojamo (HE:), which rose 2.83%, 0.26 points, to close at 9.27. Meanwhile, Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:) added 2.56% or 0.10 points to close at 4.09 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:), which rose 2.28%, 0.21 points, ending the session at 9.33.
At the bottom of the index was Nordea Bank Abp (HE:), which fell 2.20%, that is, 0.23 points, to close at 10.23. Outokumpu Oyj (HE 🙂 fell 2.04%, 0.06 points, to close at 2.79, and Neste Oyj (HE :), which fell 2.01%, 0.23 points, to close at 11 ,23.
Advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 89 to 81 and 21 ended unchanged.
Outokumpu Oyj (HE:) shares fell to their lowest level in three years; fell 2.04% or 0.06 to 2.79. Neste Oyj (HE:) shares fell to five-year lows; falling 2.01% or 0.23 to 11.23.
Brent oil for February delivery fell 0.12% or 0.09 to $72.79 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities, Crude oil futures for delivery in January fell 1.76% or 1.24 to hit $69.34 a barrel, while Gold futures for delivery in February rose 1. 38%, 35.96, to $2,644.06 per troy ounce.
EUR/USD rose 0.65% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP was unchanged 0.00% to 0.83.
US dollar index futures were down 0.63% at 107.47.
