According to his own Twitter source, Musk’s most recent “administrative” change was to change the automatic response for press inquiries sent via email. And he chose, you guessed it, his favorite emoji.

Not the most professional move ever made, that’s for sure. Multiple people confirmed the claim in the tweet, reaching out for PR purposes, and even using Musk’s own bathroom humor against him.
Another commenter called the automated response an example of “disruptive marketing.” But PillowFight CMO and TV news pundit William LeGate likely spoke for many members of the press in his criticism of Musk’s choice of emoji.
Musk has a history of receiving criticism for his love of non-words when interacting professionally.
