Elon Musk is not one to compliment his rivals.

Musk recently had the opportunity to criticize Soros. It was in January, when a Twitter user, in an imaginary scenario where the legendary investor is interviewed on Twitter Space, asked Musk what question he would ask Soros.

In a post, Trump accused Bragg, without evidence, of taking orders from Soros, a mega-donor to the Democratic Party. Soros had supported Bragg’s campaign through the Color Of Change PAC.

Musk did not hesitate to comment. Instead of crucifying Soros, who is a Tesla shareholder, since Musk himself warned that arresting Trump would allow him to win the 2024 presidential election with a landslide, he saw it as a good strategy on the part of the financier.
“Soros discovered a clever arbitrage opportunity,” the billionaire said. “The many small political races, like AD and judges, have a much higher impact per dollar spent than the big races, so it’s much easier to influence the outcome.”
Musk seems to be saying that Soros was just being smart in channeling his political contributions in the direction of greatest impact. In a Wall Street Journal op-ed last summer, the legendary investor said he “has no intention of stopping” from supporting progressive candidates running for prosecutorial office or for re-election.
“The funds I provide allow sensible, reform-minded candidates to be heard by the public. Judging by the results, the public likes what they are hearing,” Soros said.
The subject of many right-wing conspiracy theories and extremists, Soros is accused by critics of supporting lax candidates for prosecutorial office, which has contributed to a rise in crime in cities under his rule.
