If technology news continues closely, or simply moves by x on a regular basis, it has probably captured the tension between two of the most prominent leaders in the technological sector: Elon Musk and Mark Cuban.
From Tesla (Tsla) The CEO changed its approach to help administer the so -called Government Efficiency Department (Doge), received some criticism from people who do not see Doge's actions as the best for the interest of the nation. One of the most vocal and best known critics is Cuban.
Since he left his position as a judge in Shark Tank in 2019, the series technology entrepreneur has remained occupied with new projects and has become an active voice on social networks. Since Doge began to appear in the headlines, he has had much to say about Musk's new effort.
While much of this has been negative, Musk recently hinted that he agrees with Cuban about something important.
The musk fight against Cuban can be giving an unexpected turn
At first glance, the history of Cuban's publications in x and Bluesky criticizing Musk and Dege could suggest that their beliefs are very different from those of Musk. He has made it clear that he believes that some of the department's actions are poorly advised and, in many cases, they are destined to end badly.
However, like Testreet Reported on February 15, 2025, Cuban is not against what Dege is trying to achieve. He shared a 2017 video in which he advocated a smaller and efficient government, adding a new context and declaring that years later, he still supports this argument.

When he shared, Cuban said he believes that the problem with Doge's action is a lack of transparency, specifically that the office does not want to be questioned. “If you have nothing to hide, not hide,” he reflected.
Musk did not seem to notice this video at that time despite spending what seems like a considerable amount of time on social networks, specifically in x. But when the video resurfaced again on March 20, he published it again with a title that indicates that he agreed with Cuban's statements.

Since Musk did not offer much context when he shared the publication, it is very possible that he has not seen the original statements of Cuban, in which he asked Musk directly: “Why not invite some Democrats to work side by side with their Dux teams and inform about what is happening exactly?”
Cuban is known for offering solutions when he calls a problem publicly. Earlier this month, he suggested that some federal government employees who have seen their positions finished by Dege form a consulting firm for when their services are inevitably need again.

In this case, he published Musk's response again to the video and clarified that he is open to work with Musk, saying: “Happy to help!”
Were the musk and the Cuban once worked together in the future?
Despite this recent exchange, it does not seem that Musk will offer to bring Cuban on board to help Doge complete his mission more efficiently. But given its unpredictable nature, it is difficult to predict exactly what it will do.
Musk's response to video may have been sarcastic in nature, but that does not change the fact that he and Cuban seem to advocate for the same, even if they do not agree with the best way to achieve it: a more efficient United States government.

Musk has no history of working closely with his critics, despite his statement to support freedom of expression. Like him New York Times Information:
“Mr. Musk () fired the workers in x who criticized him. Following their acquisition of $ 44 billion of the company, then called twitter, in 2022, several employees published criticism of the billionaire on the platform. Mr. Musk discussed with some of them online, and then they were dismissed.”
While Musk may not be open to Cuban, it seems that his adversary online will be likely to offer his experience to Doge if the offer ever extends to him.
