Monday – March 25
- Volatility Watch – Options trading volume rises in SPAC player Digital World Acquisition (DWAC) ahead of Trump Media & technology's potential public listing next week. Media shares are trading about 25% below their 52-week high. The list of heavily shorted stocks heading into the new week includes Guess? (GES) and Bolero (BOWL). The most overbought stocks based on their 14-day Relative Strength Index include Sweetgreen (S.G.), SIGA Technologies (FOLLOW) and DXP Companies (DXPE). The most oversold stocks based on their 14-day Relative Strength Index include Sirius XM (SIRI), Urban (UONEK), and Lifecore Biomedical Inc (LFCR).
- Earnings Watch – Notable companies required to report include Westport Fuel Systems (WPRT).
- All week – Casino and online sports betting stocks will be watching closely with the Nevada Gaming Control Board's report for the month of February due out later in the week. The report will highlight the impact of the Super Bowl being held in Las Vegas.
- All day – United Parks & Resorts (PRKS) will hold a special meeting of shareholders to vote on a buyback proposal and an amendment related to a deal with Hill Path Capital.
Tuesday – March 26
- Earnings Watch – Notable companies required to report include McCormick (MKC) and GameStop (GME).
- All day – Nasdaq to release brief data on US stock interests.
- All day – General Motors (GM), Ford Motor (F), Adient (ADNT), Lear (LEA) and BorgWarner (BWA) are some of the companies scheduled to participate in the Bank of America Global Auto Summit.
- All day – The three-day Adobe Summit Digital Experience conference will begin. Adobe (ADBE) CEO Shantanu Narayen will speak at the conference along with other top executives at the company. General Motors (GM) CEO Mary Barra and Delta Air Lines (DAL) CEO Ed Bastian will be guest speakers.
- 08:30 am SELLAS Life Sciences Group (SLS) will host a corporate update call to provide an update on the REGAL phase 3 study of galinpepimut-S (GPS) in AML, as well as preliminary data from the phase 2a study of SLS009 in relapsed/refractory AML . .
- 08:30 am The durable goods order report will be published.
- 08:30 am United Parcel Service (UPS) will celebrate its Analyst Day. In late January, the package delivery giant set full-year revenue guidance below expectations and revealed plans to reduce its global workforce by 12,000 jobs.
- 12:30 pm Callon Petroleum (CPE) shareholders will vote on APA Corporation's (APA) takeover offer.
Wednesday – March 27
- Earnings Watch – Notable companies required to report include Paychex (PAYX), Carnival (CCL), Jefferies (JEF), and HB Fuller (FUL). Options trading implies a double-digit swing in the Rumble (RUM) share price following its report.
- All day – Moderna (MRNA) will host its fifth annual investor event focused on vaccines and business updates. The presentation will include updates on the company's mRNA vaccine portfolio.
- All day – The FTC's regulatory review period on the Walmart (WMT)-Vizio (VZIO) deal is set to expire. Vizio (VZIO) was trading approximately 5.6% below the acquisition price at the time of this publication.
- All day – Cellebrite (CLBT) will host an Investor Day event in New York City designed to help investors learn more about the company's growth opportunities, top strategic priorities and long-term outlook.
- All day – Walmart (WMT) executives will participate in Jefferies Value Retail Summit.
- All day – Texas Pacific Land (TPL) will begin trading on a split-adjusted basis following the company's three-for-one stock split.
- All day – Rivian Automotive (RIVN) will hold a special event at its New York space under the High Line to promote the new R2 model.
- All day – It's the FDA action date for Akebia Therapeutics' (AKBA) vadadustat.
- 10:00 am Kimberly-Clark (KMB) will host its Analyst & Investor Day event. The event will feature management updates on the company's strategic priorities, key initiatives and a new long-term financial algorithm.
Thursday – March 28
- Earnings Watch – Notable companies required to report include Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA), Oxford Industries (OXM), and Torrid (CURV). Options trading implies a double-digit stock price swing for Planet Labs (PL) and Hut 8 (HUT) after they report.
- All day – Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi (OTCPK:XIACF) (OTCPK:XIACY) will formally launch and begin deliveries of its long-awaited electric vehicle. Xiaomi-branded electric vehicles will be manufactured by state-owned automaker BAIC Group in a Beijing factory with an annual capacity of 200,000 vehicles. The smartphone maker aims for the SU7 to become one of the three best-selling luxury electric vehicle models in China.
- All day – Old Dominion Freight Line (ODFL) will begin trading on a split-adjusted basis following a two-for-one stock split.
- All day – Notable investor events include Immunic's (IMUX) participation at the Society of Virology Annual Meeting, and both Kymera Therapeutics (KYMR) and Protagonist Therapeutics (PTGX) participate in private talks at the Virtual Conference on Autoimmune and Inflammatory Diseases. - 08:30 am Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA) will hold its post-earnings conference call. The two retail stocks most closely correlated with Walgreens following its earnings report are CVS Health (CVS) and Sally Beauty (SBH).
- 6:00 pm Federal Reserve Board Governor Christopher Waller will speak about the economic outlook before an Economic Club of New York reception.
Friday – March 29
- All day – US stock exchanges will be closed for the Good Friday holiday.
- 08:30 am The February Core PCE Price Index report will be released. Economists expect the Federal Reserve's preferred inflation gauge to show a 2.8% year-over-year increase in February and a 0.3% month-over-month increase to slow from the previous month.
- 11:30 a.m. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell will participate in a moderated discussion ahead of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco's Macroeconomics and Monetary Policy Conference.
