Carnival Passenger says that the cruise director showed disrespect for veterans
“Don't John you're wrong. Each cruise director must do so regardless of whether they are Americans or not, ”wrote a carnival passenger unidentified to the brand's ambassador. “They must put their hand in their hearts or greet when the national anthem of the United States of America is played. Otherwise, it is an act of lack of respect for all veterans there. “
Heald explained the reason for the passenger's concern while sharing the publication on his facebook page.
“I fully understand the passion with which this publication was written. He derives from an American cruise director, who is obviously not going to name who did not put his hand in his heart or his heart or greeting during the veterans meeting, and when the national anthem is played, ”Heald wrote.

Heald defended Carnival cruise directors when he asked passengers to share their thoughts about the national anthem label.
“I can tell you that each one, and each cruise director puts their hearts and soul in this event, know how personal people are for so many people and how important it is for so many people,” the brand ambassador continued.
“I would like your thoughts about this, please, do you agree, do not agree, let me know their thoughts to the cruise directors who are at a conference at this time,” Heald asked. “And thanks to all who have served.”
Carnival passengers weigh on the anthem label
Although technically, the US Code establishes that, in addition to the members of the armed forces and veterans, “all other people present should face the flag and be attentive with their right hand on the heart” during an interpretation of the national anthem, not Doing so is not widely considered disrespectful.
Carnival passengers made it clear in the comments in the publication.
“How ridiculous. Nobody should feel forced to put his hand on his heart, and is not disrespectful for veterans. Honestly, a veteran,” José Thames wrote.

Some passengers also pointed out that greetings are only expected of veterans and uniform, and that non -Americans should not be expected to put their hand on their hearts. However, several passengers noticed that they think that being standing during a anthem is a respectful gesture, regardless of what anthem of the country is playing.
“Unless they are veterans of the US army or use a uniform, they should not greet in the anthem,” said Bob McCall. “If they are not Americans, I wouldn't expect to put their hand in their hearts. Everyone must stand up and be respectful when any national anthem is played. ”
