Investing.com – Australian stocks closed higher on Monday as gains across the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sydney, it gained 0.62%.
The best interpreters of the session in the were Ramelius Resources Ltd (ASX:), which rose 0.06 points or 5.29% to trade at 1.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Pointsbet Holdings Ltd. (ASX:) added 5.26% or 0.08 points to finish at 1.50 and hub24 ltd (ASX:) was up 4.73%, or 1.35 points, at 29.87 at the end of trading.
The worst results of the session were codan Ltd (ASX:), which fell 0.34 points or 6.08% to trade at 5.25 at close. Polynovo Ltd (ASX:) was down 5.91% or 0.14 points to close at 2.23 and Lynas Rare Earths Ltd (ASX:) was down 4.49% or 0.35 points to 7.45.
Shares going down outnumbered those going up on the Sydney Stock Exchange by 653 to 634 and 362 ended unchanged.
Hub24 Ltd (ASX:) shares rose to 52-week highs; up to 4.73% or 1.35 to 29.87.

Gold futures for April delivery rose 8.65, or 0.47%, to $1,863.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodity trade, crude oil for April delivery fell 0.33, or 0.41%, to settle at $79.35 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.44 % or 0.38 to trade at $85.45 a barrel.
AUD/USD was unchanged 0.12% at 0.68, while AUD/JPY fell 0.34% to 91.64.
US dollar index futures were down 0.13% at 104.35.
