Overnight in the US, stocks rallied broadly as strong gains in technology helped the Nasdaq rally after a losing session. Sentiment also rose as concerns about the state of the banking sector eased. The Nasdaq finished at 11,926.24, advancing 210.16 on the day. The Dow rose 323.35 points to close at 32,717.60, while the S&P 500 rose 56.54 points to close at 4,027.81.
