It may seem like everyone is already talking about amazon Prime Days, although they are still a couple of weeks away.
The now famous promotional event is something of a flagship event in the retail world. Many brands are capitalizing on the excitement over the two-day event, generating interest weeks in advance and hoping to reap big benefits from an increase in sales and online activity.

amazon (AMZN) amazon.com has been running Prime Days for about 10 years. The initial event started in 2015 as a way to celebrate the retailer’s 10th anniversary. It ran for just one day and wasn’t that big. Since then, however, about 200 million Prime members around the world benefit from exclusive savings on everything from Apple products to pet supplies, and each year it seems to become more profitable for the company.
amazon generated a record $12.7 billion in sales since its Prime Days event in July 2023, according to Adobe. amazon, for its part, claims it helped its customers save $2.5 billion through its deals and promotions that day. It also says that its home, fashion and beauty segments were the most successful, with the following products being the best sellers:

amazon Prime Days has become such a spectacle that the event typically offers much more than just deep discounts on common household items.
Currently, amazon hosts live streams with celebrities and influencers and even concerts to celebrate the annual summer promotion. And many of its other big competitors have begun celebrating their own savings for the warmer months; Both Walmart and Target host summer sale events, called Walmart+ Week and Target Circle Week respectively.
Both events typically take place before amazon hosts Prime Days to capture maximum consumer enthusiasm for savings, particularly for those who simply can't wait. And getting ahead of amazon can be good business.

For a limited time, Prime members will have access to a longer-than-usual three-month free trial of Kindle Unlimited, giving them access to over one million e-books that can be downloaded on Kindle, iOS, Android, PC or Mac and read on the go.
