albermarle
“albermarle It is the world’s largest lithium producer by market size with a valuation of US$31.3 billion. It has one of the largest customer groups, selling to Toyota, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Tesla and GM, and Panasonic. Albemarle is due to report financial results on February 16, as well as its outlook, which will be very revealing for the lithium industry.”
bhp
“bhp it is the world’s largest mining company by market size, with a valuation of AUD$243 billion. Historically, BHP has generated some of the strongest cash flows in the world. Given this, it has also been able to pay some of the highest dividends in the world, on a consistent basis. Consensus expects BHP to pay a full-year gross dividend yield of 14%. For the latest reporting period, BHP derived approximately 48.7% of its revenue from iron ore, 26.7% from copper and 24.6% from coal. BHP is also trying to take over copper giant Oz Minerals at the same time it moves into fertilizers, with plans to become the world’s largest fertilizer company. BHP reports full-year financial results on February 21, as well as its outlook. Which will give us a clearer idea of future demand for copper, as well as iron ore.”
Pilbara Minerals
“Pilbara Minerals is the largest lithium miner in Australia. It has a market value of AU$14 billion. Pilbara customers include LG Chem and the Great Wall Motor Company of China. And believe it or not, one of Pilbara Minerals’ customers is actually China’s Genfeng Lithium Corp, which is the largest lithium company in China. The Pilbara is due to report financial results on February 22.”
red river
“red river it is the second largest diversified miner in the world, with a valuation of $178 billion. Last year Rio earned 58.1% of its revenue from iron ore, 21.5% from aluminum and 10.9% from copper, with the rest from other metals. Rio is expected to pay a full-year gross dividend yield of around 11% this year. Rio reports full-year financial results on February 22 and its outlook for 2023, which will be interesting given that it is a major aluminum producer.”
southern copper
“southern copper corporation is another large copper miner. It is not as big as BHP or RIO in size, but its market capitalization size is US$57.3 billion. The last reporting year derived most of its revenue from copper. The market expects Southern Copper to pay a full-year gross dividend yield of 5.3% this year.”
