23yyo (NASDAQ:I) reportedly plans to offer a new genetic screening service aimed at helping people manage their risks of developing certain diseases or conditions.
The product, called Total Health, involves sequencing an area of the genome called the exome to identify related diseases. Genetic variants and mutations. 23andMe intends to charge $1,888 a year for the service, which includes two blood tests per year that detect more than 50 biomarkers to help customers track their health. The service will debut in November, Bloomberg added.
