Great news for Web3-savvy basketball fans, lashes, an NFT-based fantasy sports and strategy game, has announced the launch of its zero season. This allows players who have assembled their virtual teams, called Swoopsters, to compete and potentially win great rewards on the virtual basketball court.
Swoops make a splash
The release of season zero was confirmed by Swoops via his Twitter account and in order to play the game, users need to have a MetaMask wallet and install the game’s browser extension.

How Swoops work is that users can choose from a pool with an infinite combination of skill-based and physical attributes to create their teams. No two basketball players are created equal and this means that each team is unique. Following this, users can pit their teams against each other and using Swoops simulator technology, a game is played and a winner is chosen.
The stakes are very real at Swoops because players must pay an ante to participate and whoever wins season zero wins the contribution pool. The release of the season comes after Swoops held its pre-sale and public mint, after which the players were revealed.
Later this year, the game intends to move into Season 1, which will include expanded features.
