yuga laboratories, Being such a well-known and successful brand in the NFT space inevitably makes it a target for hackers and other malicious people. Recently, the company’s Mailchimp account was compromised by hackers, as confirmed on January 19, 2023.
Thwarted hacker plans?
While sharing the news with his fans, Yuga Labs was quick to clarify that while his MailChimp account had been compromised, none of his assets had been stolen, which is often the target of these types of attacks.
We recently learned that Mailchimp, a popular email platform, had a data breach and our account was one of many compromised. We’ve only used that service a few times and for limited purposes, but out of an abundance of caution, we wanted to share what we know. 🧵👇

Additionally, Yuga Labs noted that none of their data was exported and the only information that was stored in the account was related to very specific email campaigns. Typically, when NFT featured project accounts are compromised, hackers try to get their users to “hoard” an asset in order to gain access to their NFT wallets. But luckily, Yuga Labs says that it does not use the account to advertise mints and will continue to monitor the situation.
