Xandeum has launched pnodes, or suppliers nodes, in its Devnet to address Solana's storage limitations.
These nodes will provide a scalable and decentralized file system designed to admit heavy web3 data applications, according to a note shared with crypto.news.
This development addresses one of the key limitations of Solana (Sun): the lack of an efficient and scalable storage layer for intelligent contracts. Although Solana stands out in high -speed transactions and low rates, its architecture has traditionally been based on validators to store all program data, creating bottlenecks for data intensive applications.
Xandeum provides a decentralized solution that expands Solana's storage capacity without compromising performance. PNODS essentially function as an additional storage layer for Solana intelligent contracts, which allows perfect integration while guaranteeing data availability and safety.
The Xandeum network uses validator nodes to supervise the distribution and integrity of the data, reducing storage loads in Solana validators.
The system presents new Solana primitive such as “Pirek” and “Poke” to facilitate data transfer between Solana accounts and Xandeum storage layer.
Xandum's deep south era
The launch marks the beginning of the era of southern Xandeum, the first of the six phases of innovation planned by 2025. During this phase, the project will launch Xandminer, a management tool for PNODE operators, and will offer a limited sale of 300 pnods of Devnet encouraged. In the Netnet Main, all nodes will not have permission.
Bernie Blume, CEO of Xandeum Labs, emphasized the potential impact: “A low -cost decentralized scale solution will drastically expand the Global DAPP panorama. It can unlock a new income flow for PNDE operators, as well as the validators and drivers of Solana.”
This advance could allow new cases of use for DEFI, nft and decentralized applications on a large scale, which facilitates developers to build projects with data data while maintaining solena speed and efficiency.
