Summary Chain said a recent exploit was an isolated incident linked to Cardex, a blockchain fantasy game.
The abstract chain, an ethereum Layer-2 network built by Igloo Inc., the same entity behind Pudgy Penguins, confirmed an investigation into wallet drainage reports shared by users on Tuesday, February 18.
Several users flooded the abstract discord server with complaints, informing lost funds and demanding reimbursements. Some people claimed to have lost more than $ 100,000 in ether (eth). Tensions increased due to a delay in the summary response to the matter.
However, the team said an investigation was ongoing and assured users that the problem was isolated to the fantasy game in the Cardex chain. 0xbeans, a member of the abstract team, said that the central abstract global wallet was not affected and said that the problem arose from the important wallet of “mishandling” wallet of Cardex. The individual also promised updates once the findings were available.
“This problem seems to be isolated to an application (it seems to be Cardex, please do not interact at the moment). We are working to get to the bottom ”, Oxbeans <a target="_blank" href="https://x.com/0x_Beans/status/1891820226406424594″ target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow”>tweeted In x.

Cardex was launched in the L2 chain last week, allowing players to interact with digital exchange cards in the chain. After the incident, users accused Cardex of orchestrating a carpet pull on the official telegram channel of the project. 0xbeans advised users to avoid interacting with CARDEX until the assets are notified and removed waiting for a resolution.
Run by the parent company of Pudggy Penguins, Igloo Inc. In January, the abstract equipment built the L2 using the Zksync zero knowledge developer tools kit. Investors, including the Fund of Founders of Peter Thiel, supported the project with a total of $ 11 million last July.
