The new owner of Dookey Dash Golden Key

Dookey Dash’s golden key has been sold! After turning down several offers, Mongraal finally accepted an offer from Adam Weitsman. In a highly anticipated sale, Adam Weitsman bought the key for a whopping 1,000 ETH, which is around $1.6 million at the time of writing. Mongraal initially obtained the coveted “Golden Key” through the NFT game, Dookey Dash, released by BAYC creators Yuga Labs.

How Adam Weitsman got the golden key from Dookey Dash

After competing against over 25,000 players, Fortnite pro Kyle ‘Mongraal’ Jackson emerged as the winner of Dookey Dash. He expressed his thanks to Yuga Labs for hosting the competition and said that he looks forward to participating in future events. Ever since Mongraal won the key, the NFT community has enthusiastically watched offers being made and then turned down. So how did Adam Weitsman acquire the Mongraal pass for less than half the original asking price of 2,222 ETH?

Adam Weitsman, CEO of Upstate Shredding and owner of several BAYC assets, bought the pass on OpenSea for 1,000 ETH. Mongraal described Adam Weitsman as “a super nice guy” and said he was “thrilled” with the sale. Previously, Mongraal turned down offers from United Planets DAO and 9GAG, both of which were smaller, but still significant.

What is really Dookey Dash?

Bored Ape Yacht Club and Mutant Ape Yacht Club members received Sewer Pass NFTs for free, giving them exclusive access to the Dookey Dash game. The game was open from January 18 to February 15 and has already generated a whopping 39,676 ETH (around $64 million) in total volume on OpenSea! But don’t worry if you missed qualifying. Sewer Pass holders can still join the fun and play Dookey Dash: Toad Mode. This will run until March 1st and will offer players the chance to earn additional rewards.
