“Our effort to expand the Solana gaming ecosystem is not limited to SVM,” added Chris Zhu, CEO of Sonic. “With Neon Stack, we can incorporate web3 games built on EVM and bring them into the Solana ecosystem.”
Sonic is designed to address fragmentation in blockchain gaming, which often restricts developers to a single network and virtual machine (VM). SVM provides a scalable, VM-agnostic environment, allowing developers to take full advantage of the capabilities of web3 games.
By using HyperGrid technology for horizontal scaling, Sonic can handle millions of transactions per second, with final settlement on Solana’s layer 1. This ensures that Sonic’s layer 2 benefits from the security and finality of Solana, while still delivering high throughput.
This collaboration is expected to bridge the gap between the ethereum and Solana ecosystems, offering a versatile framework for developers. Representatives from Sonic and Neon Stack will discuss these developments at EthCC in Brussels, exploring new possibilities for web3 gaming.
