Shopify has been associated with third website, a Web3 infrastructure protocol, to release a set of tools that will enable developers to build Web3-enabled e-commerce applications. The toolkit, dubbed CommerceKit, makes it easy for developers and merchants to integrate Web3 features into their online stores and websites without having to deal with the complexities associated with blockchain technology.
As a result, store owners can now use these Web3-enabled e-commerce applications to offer various products to their customers. These include NFT-based digital collectibles, access to exclusive tokenized items, and on-chain loyalty programs.

Shopify and Thirdweb aim to fuel the Web3 commerce revolution
Commenting on the release of this toolkit, Alex Danco, Product Manager at Shopify, notes: “As a merchant, understanding your customers and finding new buyer segments is critical to running a successful business.” Therefore, “We are excited to partner with Thirdweb, the fastest shipping team on Web3, to help make smart contracts and Web3 wallet addresses an essential part of the commerce and loyalty toolkit.”
