Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo and Binance announced the launch of their third nft collection: CR7 ForeverZone, which features 50,000 limited edition mystery boxes, will be available for free to new and existing users of the exchange.
This marks the latest development in the ongoing collaboration between Ronaldo and Binance, with the shared goal of transforming fan interactions within the sports and entertainment sector and attracting fans to the Web3 space.
Ronaldo’s third nft collection
Each mystery box grants access to a unique nft inspired by CR7, with the goal of bringing fans closer to one of the greatest players of all time, according to the press release shared with CryptoPotato.
The CR7 ForeverZone collection includes 50 signed soccer balls and 50 jerseys, 50 Binance Blockchain Week tickets, and exclusive NFTs from Ronaldo’s previous collaborations. The collection also offers an nft golden ticket, which is an exclusive opportunity to meet and train in person with Ronaldo.
In a statement, Ronaldo said,
“I have always felt the incredible energy and support of my fans, and I wanted to get involved and share with them in a way that would bring us together even more. “With Binance, we can build this accessible connection and provide unique opportunities through our partnership, and I can share a part of my legacy with them.”
Following the launch of the third nft collection, Binance Chief Marketing Officer Rachel Conlan also commented on the partnership with Ronaldo.
“As one of the greatest athletes of our era, Ronaldo is not only creating history in sport; He is at the forefront of an innovation revolution. With our third nft collection, CR7 ForeverZone Collection, we are honored to help share a part of his legacy with fans as we pave the way for the future of sports and entertainment powered by Web3.”
Cristiano Ronaldo x Binance
Last summer, Binance sealed a partnership with Ronaldo, pledging to offer its fans “unprecedented experiences” through the Binance nft platform, shortly after which it launched its “CR7” nft collection featuring seven animated statues with four levels of rarity.
The 38-year-old sports sensation then unveiled a second collection, “Forever CR7: The GOAT,” in July this year, which consisted of a wide range of digital collectibles immortalizing some of his greatest goals, organized into different categories.
Ronaldo also took a lie detector test in September to answer several questions about football, including some about his nft holdings.
