Ripple’s developer arm has revealed the recipients of XRPL Grants Wave 6 and is awarding $1.3 million to support 22 projects from 13 countries leveraging the XRP Ledger (XRPL).
Recipients showcased a number of innovative projects spanning various sectors within the Web3 space, including GameFi, DeFi, NFTs, developer tools, and more. Each project was reviewed by a global panel of judges with extensive experience in these areas.

The most important projects in XRPL
Among the notable recipients are DeFi solutions working to make Web3 and DeFi more accessible in terms of user experience and simplicity. Among them is EVM Finance, a unified interface for DeFi, essentially a hub for asset management, trading, transactions, and nft drops.
Another award-winner, DeXfi, positioned itself as another one-stop shop for DeFi on XRPL, providing users with similar options and features. Meanwhile, Chris Winkler, the brain behind DeXfi, raised $50,000 in funding to boost the project.
ChatXRP stood out as the only recipient in the ai space, receiving a $75,000 prize. Serving as a stress-free gateway to Web 3.0 services, ChatXRP simplifies XRPL interactions through its easy-to-use interface.
In the education sector, EpicTask was recognized, while sustainability-focused projects EUA Carbon Token and Meta-Carbon also appeared on the award list. These projects highlight XRPL’s commitment to fostering innovation in various areas.
Financial support ranges from microgrants for seven projects at the lowest level (less than $10,000) to substantial funding exceeding $100,000 for six projects. In addition, 55% of the winners reside outside the United States. This aligns with Ripple’s decision to expand abroad, as the company executive believes other jurisdictions are more friendly to cryptocurrencies.
