Revolut, a London-based fintech company, has launched a ‘crypto stake’ option for its more than 25 million users with a particular focus on its clients within the UK and the economic zone.
The staking option is expected to come fully alive between now and February 10, and will be limited to crypto assets such as ETH, XTZ, ADA, and DOT, with yields ranging from 11.65% to 2.99%, respectively.
Revolut builds your crypto services
Revolut has been doing a lot since 2017 to bring cryptocurrency into its core marketplace after launching cryptocurrency cashback programs for its premium users.
In addition to betting, Revolut offers trade and buy services in almost 100 tokens and crypto assets.
In July 2022, Revolut launched a free blockchain course program that teaches blockchain basics and rewards participants with free cryptocurrency for successful completion; the program had over a million alumni.
Revolut licenses and disorders
On August 17, 2022, Revolut obtained the regulatory license from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CYSEC); the license is intended to give you full access to offer Europeans access to bitcoin (BTC) trading.
On September 21, 2022, Revolut, in collaboration with its Apex crypto partners, launched and increased its crypto offering by adding 29 more tokens to its crypto asset class.
Due to the devastating effects of the FTX debacle on November 8, 2022, Revolut reportedly put plans to launch its indigenous token (RevCoin) on hold.
A Revolut spokesperson told the financial news outlet on Jan. 19, 2022 that the neo-challenger bank was exploring the best time to reveal the token.
