Player-first Web3 Game Studio, bloxsmithhas released the beta version of Rumble of Raiders, an epic squad battle strategy game for mobile. The title combines the best of traditional and blockchain gaming, allowing Web2 and Web3 players to participate in PvP tournaments and win amazing prizes.
Starting March 13, Raiders Rumble is available on both the google play store and the app store. Players can join any of the markets and download it to start participating in various battles. Interestingly, players do not need a crypto wallet or purchase NFTs to participate.
Raiders Rumble comes across as a fast-paced, skill-based game that can be played in short sessions. Players assemble time-displaced fighters/raiders to engage in battles, requiring a strategic and tactical approach to create the optimal raider roster. To gain an in-game advantage, players can upgrade their fighters using weapons and armor, thus increasing the number of combinations they can participate in.
Additionally, NFTs are not required to unlock in-game features, but collectors will find them valuable based on their rarity and uniqueness.
Raiders Rumble Bridges Web2 and Web3 Gaming
With Raiders Rumble, Bloxmith aims to bridge the gap between Web3 and Web3 gaming. This sentiment is shared by Wayne Lee, co-founder and CEO of Bloxmith. In a statement, he notes,
“For our first game, we wanted to pioneer a new type of competitive mobile strategy game that would help bridge the gap between traditional and Web3 gamers. We are excited to work on the Flow blockchain – it solves the scalability problem for games and digital collectibles. With frictionless onboarding, social logins, and familiar payment methods, Flow is built from the ground up to make it easy for mainstream users and brands to transition from Web2 to Web3.”
Thanks to the ease of access on mobile devices, Raiders Rumble is designed to appeal to the masses. As such, it has partnered with the Flow Blockchain on which it resides to encourage players organizing a series of tournaments in which players will fight for the title of best strategist. The tournaments will take place between March 23 and 31, with the best players receiving a share of a massive prize pool of 120,000 $FLOW tokens.
Rocking and rolling in the flow net
The game itself runs on the Flow blockchain, a high performance EVM compliant blockchain. Their product manager, Chirag Narang, is very excited about collaborating with Bloxmith to present this amazing title. In a statement, he notes,
“Raiders Rumble is a compelling example of a mobile game that can simultaneously appeal to a mainstream audience while introducing them to the power of Flow (FLOW)-powered Web3 gaming. The Bloxmith team’s innovative vision for game design and player onboarding aligns strongly with Flow’s vision and goals for our ecosystem around gaming and core user onboarding for Web3.”
