Free-to-play web3 video game Chainers announced a closed playtest for its multiplayer shooter, offering rewards in nfts and CFB tokens.
Chains.iowhich claims to have over 25 million nfts distributed and a community of over 350,000 players, aims to build on the momentum of web3 gaming by offering a blockchain-based gaming experience that combines familiar mechanics with tokenized rewards.
The free-to-play Minecraft-style web3 MMORPG, with its own Polygon-powered sidechain, has announced a closed playtest for its upcoming multiplayer shooter mode, dubbed “Chainers Arena Playtest”.
The playtest, which will take place December 5-6, will offer a select group of players the opportunity to try out the game's multiplayer shooter, provide feedback, and earn rewards in non-fungible tokens or CFB tokens.
Chainers Arena is the first multiplayer shooter within the Chainers ecosystem, combining blockchain technology with familiar game mechanics. The announcement marks the game's latest step in the developers' effort to merge traditional gaming experiences with web3 rewards.

The closed playtest aims to showcase the game's multiplayer shooter mode, Chainers Arena, which introduces tactical gameplay elements designed to engage both competitive players and blockchain enthusiasts.
Simultaneously, the developers claim it is broader Universe chainers features interconnected game elements. As such, achievements earned in the Chainers Arena shooter can influence other parts of the game, such as the nft Farm, where players grow plants that generate FRI, a non-tradeable in-game token.
According to the developers, the resources produced in the nft Farm can soon be used to improve performance in the shooter mode, creating a symbiotic relationship between all the games in the Chainers web3 universe. Similarly, rewards earned in Chainers Arena can improve farming capabilities, further integrating the two game modes.
