Anthony Guerrera, a software engineer, rose to the challenge and recently successfully launched the Litecoin Ordinals project on GitHub. This was after forking the GitHub repository for Bitcoin Ordinals published by its creator, Casey Rodarmor, last month.

MimbleWimble was launched last May with the goal of improving Litecoin privacy and transaction sizes.
Guerrera points out that the upgrade gives Litecoin an advantage, as people can record more data on individual transactions and at a lower cost than Bitcoin.
“Having MWEB integrated into the chain allows users to transfer funds privately before signing up. For example, a statement piece while maintaining privacy is a huge advantage, unlike Bitcoin, which is a totally public ledger.”
Now the race is on to inscribe JPEG files and other data formats on Litecoin.
